I recently had to venture into the "junk drawers" of two of my friends while visiting their homes. While one was slightly less so than the other, I was astonished to find them both to be clean and orderly. So it got me thinking about my own junk drawer...maybe the pervasive disorder of my junk drawer provided insight into my life as well. This thought just about pushed me over the edge! If my junk drawer had some semblance of order, would I be happier? Would I sleep better at night? Would my children act prim, proper, and respectfully at all times? (Before you call the warden at the
loony-bin, know that I'm really not crazy - I just sound that way in
blogland.)
At any rate, I am ever-so-slightly convinced that the status of my junk drawer is somehow reflective of my life & sanity...So I set out to clean up my act, starting with the junk drawer itself!
I'm
embarrassed to show you the before picture, but here goes:
Here is the after picture:

The first challenge complete, we are now on to reinvent the rest of the house. My goal is to get rid of half of all of our junk throughout. The kids are not necessarily up for the change, but my pursuit is solid and we will press on (assuming my steam does not run out).
I'll keep you posted!

Once again, you're inspiring to me....but not sure if I'm inspired enough to actually do anything with my own junk drawer. Congrats on getting everything in order. Is your life better yet?
I'm doing this.
"Junk" drawer looks good. I bet it will be nice to have everything in order.
