Within the last year our city has instituted the use of toll roads. For whatever reason, this has had a dramatic effect on our boys. We have only actually driven on the toll road and paid the toll twice, but they are keenly aware of the concept and its potential for exploitation.
All that being said, I have lately paid steep tolls to accomplish most tasks in my home. Here is a breakdown from this morning:
- $100.04 to brush my teeth this morning
- $1,573 to get dressed today
- $1,000 to pass through my bedroom door (each way, mind you)
- $148.73 to drink my morning coffee
My budget does not accomodate these expenses, nor do I forsee our future financial status allowing for these types of expenditures. So forgive me if I live confined to my room in my pajamas with a foul mouth and a bad attitude...
