There is no lack of entertainment for the kids. My parents have a great kid-friendly atmosphere (in other words they spoil the kids year-round). My Mother is endlessly buying new toys/equippment for the kids to play with/use when visiting. My Father is vicarously re-living his youth and incessantly is coming up with brave new ways to encourage boyhood disaster. We all love it (although my "nervous mommy" responsibility somehow creeps in from time to time) and our boys talk about their adventures for days following our visits.
Hudson has the most fun driving the Golf Cart and Go-Cart. You must be at least 7 to drive either, so he and his cousin Preston spend a great deal of their time chauffering the other kids around. This year they thought it was a brilliant idea to race the two against each other...I had to dampen the fun and stop them because neither Hudson or Preston had their eyes on "the road," but rather on each other.
Jake, Kayli, and Nolan enjoyed looking for baby frogs in the creek out back. We waited for someone to fall/jump in, but noone did. They also had fun chasing the kittens...
And Cole was all over the place...riding the carts, climbing to the top of the two-story treehouse, throwing rocks in the creek, chasing the animals, etc.
What fun we all had!
