When my words last spilled out on to the screen, it was raining. And when my admiringly sympathetic friend Jennifer told me to - and I quote - "build an ark and shut-up...", I thought I might just have to! It rained here for 45 days. Not all day, every day, but enough to make me crazy, lose my mind, and sink me into a dark despair. 17% of Texas was now under water and the rain continued to fall. This was not the summer I had planned, and my kids were feeling it. (On the bright side, it is now July in Texas and we have not yet reached 100 degrees!)
The sun came out last Friday and we couldn't resist running to the pool first thing in the morning - fearing that the clouds may return and release upon us once more if we waited too long. We had fun lounging in the sun and playing in the water with our friends from school...
It rained later that night, but we have been rain-free for 3 whole days now...Cannonball!!!
