Last Saturday, we went out to my parents place for another "family reunion" of sorts. This time, my Dad's side of the family were there, many of whom I had not seen in several years. We had a good time, and of course, the many kids had a terrific time playing in the water, treehouse, golf cart, go-cart and more!
My Dad was everywhere I looked. Take a look at this picture...tracking Daddy in the midst of his brothers was like playing a real-life Where's Waldo game! Three of them look amazingly similar - the fourth was somehow blessed with hair!

My parents have a wet-weather creek that runs through their backyard, and while it has receded considerably from the recent floods, the "bridge" to the treehouse had to be recreated temporarily with a board. It was amazing to see the floodline of debris almost up to the house and to think that the treehouse was submurged a good 6 inches into the first floor (about 5 feet off the ground)!

The kids really enjoyed having the water up a little higher than usual...we watched fish, tadpoles, and frogs do their thing - and even captured a poor few. Then the boys decided to make boats and have boat races! It was a great time...Even Heath made his own!

Hudson went along with the older boys (7-12) exploring a nearby creekbed in the golf cart...bringing home all sorts of debris that had washed in with the flooding...street signs, table stands, and more!

Your parent's place looks so fun. Great for little boys (and big ones probably).
