The First Day

The little men had their first day of Mother's (and, for us, Father's) Day Out yesterday! They were very excited to get off to make new friends and visit with friends that they had not seen all summer.

I worked yesterday, so Heath had "Daddy Duty" and he said that it was a great first day by all reports. (Everybody had their undies on and everything, Beth - so much for making a unique first impression.) Jake and Cole both eagerly went to their new classrooms without hesitation! Well, he actually said that Cole thought about hesitating, but saw play-dough on the table and made the only reasonable decision one could make and waved good-bye to Dad! Their teachers said that it was a great day for both boys...and that Jake can't keep his shoes on (surprise, surprise)!

Jake woke up this morning talking about his new friends and telling me who missed their mommies, who fell down on the playground, who had what to eat, and "there was no nap time." Cole simply stated that "it was fun." They are already asking "Is it Monday today? Is it Wednesday today?" hoping it's a school day!

And a big thanks to Daddy for remembering and taking the time to take the first day pictures! It makes me smile to see the joy and excitement of the boys...
