Monkeyin' Around

As Cole's birthday approached he started talking to me, and anyone who might listen, about his monkey party. While I hadn't envisioned a monkey party for him, he eventually won me over with the constant repetition of the phrase "at my monkey party" over several months.
So we had a monkey party for his birthday. It was a sweet, fun time for him. He loved having his friends and family over to celebrate with him and to play up the day! Here are a few shots of the festivities:

Monkey cupcakes...

Here are 4 little monkeys jumping on the bed (Heath and I purchased a new mattress a few months ago, so we pulled the old one out of the garage to monkey with!)

Monkey Cole, swinging from a tree!

Here are Blake and Jackson enjoying their monkey cupcakes and banana smoothies!

Cole and Jake in the monkey masks they made (I think the towels around their necks make them flying superhero monkeys or something.)

Cole taking a break from the monkey play to chill with Daddy!

And here is "Joe" the turtle given to Cole by Nana and Grandpa Ollie!

What a creative party...all themed out. Looks like a swinging from the trees kind of good time. Happy Birthday, Cole!

Wow. We are really sorry we missed all the great monkeying around. Great job Jonna. It comes as no surprise. You never cease to amaze me with your talents and creativity.

Blake loves that CD, particularly #6 and he wants to sing Monkey Monkey all the time now. Great party!
