Girls Will Be Girls!

Wow! What a weekend...

My niece, Kayli, turned 5 this weekend and we celebrated all Diva-style with a birthday bash to make you blush! I spent all day Friday and Saturday helping my sister with thrifty-style purchasing, gathering, collecting, baking, icing, and general pink-and-purpling everything for the shin-dig Saturday afternoon. It was super fun, but exhausting!!

Here are a few pictures of the festivities...

All the girls had a total blast dressing up, having their make-up, hair and nails done, making some groovy jewelry to adorn with, and posing on stage for the flood of photos flashes! It would make any girl swoon in girly, girl fashion! A a mother of three BOYS, it was fun to get my girl-fix filled with such magnitude and in such an extreme fashion that it should last quite a while...

The boys had fun, too. They stayed out of the party lime-light and dressed up as firemen, police, etc. in Preston's room - venturing into the pink and purple starlit chaos for cake only! We did get Grandpa to succumb, though - if only for a moment!

Wow, what a novel idea - a girly party! You ladies did a great job with everything...it looks like it would have been so fun!

Please, pink and purple everywhere, painted fingernails, bows in hair...who would prefer that over mud boots and pet spiders. So precious...happy birthday to the little girly girl.
